1-1 sessions and tailored activity programmes

Which facilities we use for the activities and talks depends on the number of attendees and the time of year. This will include: The Riverside, Laurel Cottages and The Riverside Centre.
Our aim is to send you skipping home and feeling transformed. Expect to return home with a treasure chest of new knowledge and experiences.

(Please note this retreat is not based
around yoga exercise. However, we will give you guidance on meditation, breathwork and a variety of yoga disciplines that will help you when you return home.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS
Small group dynamics / number of attendees
Mental health is a wide and diverse subject. Everyone has their own unique story and experiences. These retreats are specifically designed for a small amount of people. This makes them intimate and potentially supportive and validating. In the vast majority of cases this works very well and makes the retreats special. However, some people may be very anxious. They may find it difficult to engage with a small group empathetically in a supportive group healing environment. If this is the case with you, it may be better if you book our exclusive 1-1 retreats.
The normal retreats run every week, the average number of people in the group is 2/3. Please note many of our clients also book very late ( 2-14 days before arrival. )
We know some of our clients are vulnerable. In view of this, we do everything that we can to make you feel safe... it is at the forefront of all our policies. It is only right therefore that we point out that occasionally you might be the only one on the retreat with our principal male teacher and you must consider this before booking. General feedback is that when this happens, the retreats run excellently. This is because as well as safety you eceiver 100 percent attention with the instructor.
Rules and conduct
We are in a very quiet riverside area and we must do our best to give peace and quiet to our neighbours. There is a no smoking policy in our house and gardens ( river side benches where you can smoke are 5o yards away.) This retreat is not suitable for people who can not abstain from alcohol or recreational drugs during the time of the retreat. These items must not be brought onto the premises.
Although everyone will have a confidential 1-1 on arrival, we ask that all our clients fill out the prearrival health and goals questionnaire.
Please note - breakfast and dinner is provided but you do not have access to the kitchen.

In season enjoy: apples, blackcurrants,
herbs and vegetables,
hand-picked from our garden.
